About Heather

Heather Watson’s Experience

Heather Watson has lived in the Douro Ward for close to 25 years. A graduate from Fleming College in Business Administration, Watson has worked and volunteered in the community her entire career. Heather is an engaged and active member of the community. Heather is the Creative Director at acorn30, a marketing agency working with manufacturing and agriculture companies.

Together, Heather and her husband Dan have raised their son who now lives on his own in the community. When not working on Council or business initiatives, Heather spends time at her husband’s family farm in Douro Ward.

Heather was elected as Douro Ward Councillor in 2018.

  • Rehabilitation of Dalview Road in Donwood
  • Reconstruction of Clintonia Park
  • Revitalization of Daleview Park
  • Revitalization of Maryvale Park
  • Improving access to Council meetings through an enhanced online agenda and streamed Council meetings
  • Updates to the Procedural By-Law to provide greater transparency and access to residents
  • Ongoing safety improvements and enhancements to Birch View Road
  • Speed Reduction on Division Road
  • Creation of the Douro Dummer Business Networking Group
  • Chair of the Douro Canada Day Parade Committee
