I hear from many residents about the lack of access to reliable internet in the area. As someone who has worked from home for years, I fundamentally understand that it’s an essential. I’ve spoke on the importance and impact numerous times including interviews with Peterborough This Week and TVO. When I hear our local leaders speaking of their efforts to expand internet access, it stands to reason that I would take great interest. In this recent TVO interview, local MP Maryam Monsef who is the Minister of Rural Economic Development talks about how her government is working to help rural Canada get access to internet.

Nine years seems like a long time, but this is what her government has committed to. The sooner the better Minister. Please.
