Heather has lived in the Douro-Dummer Township for more than 25 years, where she and her husband Dan have raised their son. She frequently spends time at her husband’s family farm in the Township.

Heather is a graduate of Fleming College in Business Administration and holds a Diploma in Municipal Administration from the Association of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario (AMCTO). 

Heather was elected as Councillor for the Douro Ward in 2018 and as Mayor for Douro-Dummer Township in 2022. In addition to her role as Mayor, she is the Founder and Chief Strategist at acorn30, a marketing agency serving manufacturing and agriculture companies.
